Protecting Your Home From Pathogens

Jacque Gurney gave us some great ideas on how to use Essential Oils to protect our homes from pathogens.


Contertops- Add 20-30 drops of Lemon Essential Oils to 4 ounces os distilled water. Shake well and spray countertops.


Cutting Boards- Add 10-12 drops of Guardian blend to 4 ounces of distilled water, shake well and spray onto your cutting board. Kills e-coli and other pathogens from meat.


Dishwashers- Add 1-2 drops of Guardian Essentail oil blend to dishwahing soap and use heat setting.


Dishcloths- Make a mixture of 3-4 drops Lemon essential oil, 2-3 drops Tea Tree essential oil, and 2-3 drops of Rosemary essential oils in hot water, rinse dish cloth in mixture, wring it out and hang to dry.


Toilets- Add 15-20 drops Guardian Essential oil in 4 ounce spray bottle, fill with distilled water, Shake welll and spray on toilet fixture, lid, handle, seat and wipe with clean paper towels.

Disinfectant- Mix 20 drops Thyme oil in 2 cups of water in a 16 oz. spray bottle. Shake well before each use. (Thanks for the recipe Kara)

Multi purpose cleaner- 2 cups water, 1 c. baking powder, 5 drops Eucalyptus essential oil. Mix in spray bottle. Shake well before each use. Can add vinegar to add extra cleanning power. Us on sinks, refrigerator, bathrooms, and toilets. (Thanks for the recipe Kara).

Guardian Blend is a Forever Green Essential oil blend. Mix your own-
Black Spruce, Cypress, Eucalyptus citradora, Eucalyptus globulus, Frankencense, Jojoba, Juniper berry, Lemon, Lemongrass, Ocean PIne, Sage, Tea Tree, Thyme ct. Linalool. Mix in glass bottle.
