January 6 FREE CLASS: BASIC OILS -
Bring your friends and share the beauty and gift of essential oils. The new certification schedule will be introduced along with the official A.I.R certification class information.
THE REMAINING CLASSES IN THIS SERIES WILL COST $25. YOU CAN PAY AT THE DOOR OR PRE-REGISTER BY CALLING 480-381-2638. All information including the course material will only be given out at the class. A written exam will be administered at the conclusion of each section.
General Aims of level 2 certification course:
In this course the student will:
● Acquire a knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
● Develop an understanding of the principles of human anatomy and physiology.
● Gain insight into the interrelation between the various systems within the human organism.
● Acquire knowledge of the terminology used and be able to apply this knowledge.
● Develop the abilities to apply the above principles to whatever therapy you choose to use for
consulting.

CELLS AND TISSUE
Learning Objectives
On completion of this section, the student should be able to :
- Describe the general characteristics of a composite cell.
- Describe the cell nucleus and its parts.
- Explain how substances move through cell membranes.
- Describe the life cycle of a cell.
- Describe the general characteristics and functions of epithelial tissue.
- Name the types of epithelium and identify an organ in which each type occurs.
- Describe the general characteristics of connective tissue.
- List the types of connective tissue that occurs in the body.

SUPPORT AND MOVEMENT SYSTEMS OF THE BODY
SKELETAL SYSTEM
Learning Objective
On completion of this section, the student will be able to:
● Describe the general structure of a bone and list functions performed by these parts.
● Discuss the major functions of the bones forming the skeleton.
● Distinguish between the axial and appendicular skeleton and name each part.
● Locate and identify the bones that comprise the skull, vertebral column, thoracic cage, pectoral girdle,
upper limbs, pelvic girdle and lower limbs.
● List 3 types of joints, describe their characteristics and give an example of each.
● List 4 types of freely movable joints and describe the joints of each.
● Explain how the skeletal muscles produce movements at joints.
