H1N1- Shedding

H1N1 Shedding?
What is that? Well shedding is the term used to explain what happens after a person recieves the "live" shot, Flu Mist, or has the actual H1N1 flu. I have hear about this a while ago, but I decided I had better do some investigating since the MPS school district, Fire Department and Maricopa County Health Department are giving out the H1N1 shots this Tuesday, Dec. 8th, at Skyline High School.  I called and they will be giving out both the shot and the Flu Mist nasal spray. What does shedding mean to those of us who are not getting the shot? A person that gets the H1N1 shot will be "shedding" (or are a carrier) the virus. This can happen from 7 days (shot) or up to 21 days for the Flu Mist. This is true I read it in the Flu Mist and Flu shot "confidential" papers that are contained in the shot paperwork (the stuff they do not bother giving you to read or that you do not read because you are not getting the shot so why read it.). Also, if someone is sick with the H1N1 flu, especially children, they will be "shedding" the virus for upto 7 days after thier fever stops, in thier saliva, pooh, and the stuff that sprays out of thier mouth when they cough. LOVELY!

This is what the Flu Mist packet says:
 "At least one vaccine strain was isolated from 80% of FluMist recipients; strains were recovered from 1-21 days post vaccination."

So what to do? There is more you can do but here are my thoughts as a minimum.

 #1 boost up your immune system.

 #2 Avoid sugar (lowers your immune system for 5 hours after you eat it).

#3 Vitamin D3 35Iu per body weight, per day.

 #4 Wash your hands often.

 #5 Apply Essential oils to boost your immune system at least twice a day. More is not better so no more than every 4 hours. Spice blends, Ravensara, Eucalyptus, Lemon. and more are good ones to use.

#6 Avoid close contact with others. If you cannot, then protect your self with Lemon oil. Learn more here.

#7 Protect your home base and car. Carry a mister bottle and spray your self when ever entering your home base. Or use a diffuser in your home or a car diffuser.

This may seem a little crazy, but I for one want to keep my family healthy in the midst of all the shedding that will be occuring due to the media craze to get the shots!

You could get the shot, but I do not find that to be an acceptable answer either. Read more here. Mercury, Anti- Freeze and more. Do not get me started with this while get the shot if you are pregnant media thing!

The shot information indicates that no testing for the saftey of pregnant women has been done.

8.3 Nursing Mothers


It is not known whether Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist is excreted in human milk. Therefore, as some viruses are excreted in human milk and additionally, because of the possibility of shedding of vaccine virus and the close proximity of a nursing infant and mother, caution should be exercised if Influenza A

(H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist is administered to nursing mothers.
