Pain in the neck!
Torticollis or stiff neck can be a painful condition that can last a long time. Most of the time, if you are like me, then you do not even know why it is that you can only move your neck to one side. Causes can include quick movements, poor posture, exhertion and poor posture when sleeping. (You may need better pillow support.) Usually a stiff neck is a harmless condition that will go away in time. However, if you have been sick or have other symptoms, like a fever, then you may need to seek medical help as this can be a signal of a serious proplem. If it were me I would try using Essential oils. Essential oils can offer relief for a stiff neck.
Essential Oils
Two great essential oils to try are Cario care, to retrain muscle memory and then Fysical Thera P will help with the pain and stiffness
Other oils to try –
Apply a drop or two (more is not better) topically to the area. Apply two to three times a day. A carrier oil like Jojoba, coconut, massage, or olive oil can be used to cover larger areas. Use 1-2 tsp of carrier oil and add your drops to the oil.
*Ease
*Basil and Marjoram.
*Myrrh –inflamed muscles.
*Coriander- tones muscles and helps with stiffness, aches and pains.
*Dill- Helps with tension and pain.
*Fennel- Sore muscles. (Contraindicated in people that have sezures.)
*A blend of Rosemary, Basil and Helichrysum can help to alieviate strained or torn muscles.
*Sage- Eases stiff muscles and particularly fibrositis and torticollis (stiff neck).
Application-
Direct application. (Dilute for children.) If stinging occurs then add a carrier oil to the site to dilute the oils. Water will drive in the oils.
Apply the oils and then use a warm compress or water bottle to the site. Find microwavable compresses here.
Soaking in a bath can help to relieve pain and stiffness. Add essential oils to Dea Sea Salt and then add to your bath.

Our loving and thoughtful 15 year-old son lovingly named me this-in a round-about-way. At his birthday party the waiter asked him if I wanted a piece of cake. He said, "No, she's a little bit psycho about sugar." And so it stuck. My sister loved it and told me to change the spelling to "sigh-cho" for my blog. So there you have it and no I am not Psycho (only about sugar) :)
